Tier 6 has its first kings: what 9 months of Loyalty Program data show

In May, we wrote that Tier 6 was still waiting for its king. Not anymore. Nine months have passed since we launched the Loyalty Program in January, and the data show something that makes us happier than any single number: traders who move up thanks to consistency, not luck. Here's who has already reached the top tier, how much the challenges traders got for free have paid out, and where XP is easiest to earn.

Tier 6 has its first kings: what 9 months of Loyalty Program data show

Key takeaways:

  • Tier 6 already has 4 traders – the first two got there in June.
  • Traders have already withdrawn 111 payouts worth 50,934 USD from challenges they got for free.
  • Traders on Tier 2 and above earn about half of their XP just by logging in regularly and trading actively.
  • Even a breach earns XP – almost as much as a passed phase.
  • 8,535 traders are now on Tier 2 or higher, up from 166 in January.
  • Referrals and the mobile app are the easiest XP, and most traders still aren't using them.

Tier 6 already has its kings

Four traders are on Tier 6 today. The first two got there in June, about five months after the program launched – just a few weeks after we wrote that nobody had made it yet.

How much work does it take? Tier 6 starts at 30,000 XP. The most active trader in the program has 57,270 XP, almost twice as much. And right behind the four kings, more traders are pushing towards the top.

What does Tier 6 mean in practice?

Tier 6 isn't a one-off reward. It's a set of permanent boosts that apply to every challenge you take on:

  • a free 100,000 USD SwiftTrader challenge,
  • a 20% higher performance reward ratio,
  • a 2% more relaxed daily loss limit,
  • a 2% more relaxed maximum loss limit,
  • 25% more virtual capital.

Free challenges that have already paid out over 50,000 USD

This is probably the strongest number in the whole report. Dozens of traders got a free challenge from the Loyalty Program, made it all the way to the Virtually Funded phase and then withdrew a payout.

In total, they've withdrawn 111 payouts worth 50,934 USD. And they didn't pay a single dollar for the challenge. The average payout comes to 459 USD.

And the numbers keep growing. In spring, payouts from free challenges were around 300 USD. In September, the average payout was already 620 USD, and so far in October it's 667 USD.

How do you get a free challenge?

All you need is Tier 2, which means 2,000 XP. For that, you get a free 5,000 USD SwiftTrader challenge plus a permanent 5% virtual capital boost. Every tier after that brings another challenge, all the way up to a 100,000 USD SwiftTrader challenge on Tier 6.

You can't buy a tier, you build it

When we look at where traders on Tier 2 and above get their XP, the picture is clear: about half comes simply from logging in and trading regularly. Buying challenges makes up only 11%.

Even a breach moves you forward

Notice that XP for breaches makes up almost the same share (8.3%) as XP for passing a challenge phase (8.8%). So a failed attempt isn't wasted time – it still brings you closer to the next tier and its boosts.

Over 8,500 traders are now on Tier 2 or higher

In January, there were 166. Today, 8,535 traders are on Tier 2 or higher, and about a thousand more join them every month. Among traders who were active in the last 90 days, more than one in three is already on Tier 2 or above.

How long does it take to move up?

A trader who registered after the program launched reaches Tier 2 in 92 days on average, and Tier 3 in 137 days. Interestingly, each next step tends to be faster: going from Tier 3 to Tier 4 takes only 66 days on average. Once you get going, XP comes in faster.

Easy XP traders aren't collecting, but could be

Some ways to earn XP are barely used. Referring friends makes up less than 1% of all XP, and logging into the mobile app just 1%. Yet these are the easiest points you can get:

  • Referral: for every friend who signs up and starts a challenge through your link, you get 300 XP. They get 300 XP too, plus a 20% discount on a challenge. You'll find your link in MyFintokei.
  • Mobile app: 50 XP just for setting it up. See everything it can do on the Fintokei mobile app page.

Who will be next on Tier 6?

Nine months of data show that the Loyalty Program works exactly as intended: it rewards traders who keep coming back and trade consistently. Tier 6 has its kings, free challenges have paid out over 50,000 USD, and thousands more traders keep climbing.

You can find your current tier and XP in MyFintokei.
